Étude is one of Robert Duncan's Graduate Films from the Edinburgh College of Art Animation Programme. The film acts as a conversation between composer Laren Polic and the animator himself.
"By continually responding to each other’s audio and visuals, we created a rhythmic animation that visually maps sound by exploring categories of line, colour and texture, before blending these elements together in a hectic finale." - Duncan
The piece acts as an exercise in skill; a study of how a complex piece of music can be portrayed through animation.
